When looking at your assets, even experienced investors often no longer notice whether and where imbalances have crept in: Too often, they look at things from the same angle and historically misguided developments no longer catch their eye. We are different.
With an unbiased and trained eye, we take a look at what every serious wealth advisory service should start with: the status of your assets. It is the basis on which we work together. This is how - for example after an inheritance - an asset structure could look in a balance sheet format, which is then the starting point for our further recommendations.
We would first like to know your wealth goals and your expectations of the advice. Once your wealth status has been established by the advisor, the Private Wealth Balance Sheet is available for all subsequent steps. On this basis, we design asset strategies and individual investment concepts to enable you to achieve your wealth goals in the best possible way.
Mr Kleyboldt, if I want to become a customer of Bethmann Bank: What can I expect from their advisers?
You can expect a high level of professional competence from them and that they will listen to you. You can also expect a holistic advisory process from our advisors that focuses on you and your assets. This includes in particular the representation of your asset situation in the balance sheet format. We then create an individual investment concept based on this.
Holistic advisory process - isn’t that what all the banks say?
It is indeed easy to claim this and many in the market do. Actually doing it is considerably more demanding and there are clear differences: from getting to know you to analysing your net wealth in the status quo to ongoing, permanent support - that’s what sets us apart. In part, this distinguishes us quite clearly from our competitors, who like to take the easy route.
But that doesn’t change my portfolio.
Correct. This is the part of our advisory process that follows the analysis and asset status: we develop a solution concept tailored to your wealth goals, which we explain to you in terms of how it works. Then, and really only then, does it make sense to select the appropriate financial products. First the concept, then the adaptation, then the implementation. We proceed quite systematically.
And when everything is done, I have a portfolio that will be with me for the next few years, right?
This may be so in individual cases. However, it is usually different, because your portfolio must always take account of a changing market environment. Flexibility is important, for example, if your personal goals change. Thus, it is also part of our self-image as a private bank that we keep your asset status up to date. That’s why there are also regular asset dialogues in which we coordinate with you and review the asset concept including the custody account investment. The updated asset status is an important building block for this. Our advisory approach is geared towards accompanying you through life’s ups and downs. For this purpose, the client has the additional option of using the expertise of our Wealth Planning unit.
When we recommend a structure for your total assets, we do so based on various scenarios. In this context, we take particular account of the interaction between the various asset classes - from stock portfolios to owner-occupied real estate. We use this key data to design your very own individual investment strategy and work with you to implement it. In doing so, we draw on the global network and know-how of a leading European bank, ABN AMRO.
