The connection goes back a long way and reflects over the German history. More than 300 years ago, the trading house "Splitgerber und Daum" was founded in Berlin. This was Berlin's first bank - and the foundation stone for the later Bankhaus Delbrueck, one of the predecessor institutions of today's Bethmann Bank.
Berlin was the capital even then, and "Splitgerber und Daum" was at the centre of politics and business from the outset. Frederick the Great, for example, was one of the bank’s clients, but young industrial companies such as Siemens also had important projects financed through the bank.
Today, Bethmann Bank is a key player in Berlin in terms of dynamic progress. In light of the rapidly increasing economic power and attraction of Berlin as the capital, we are delighted to be in the vicinity of a growing number of clients from the city and the region.
We are centrally located in Berlin, within easy reach of the vibrant hub between Zoologischer Garten, KaDeWe and Gedaechtniskirche.
Long-established families and entrepreneurs as well as new start-ups moving to the city, foundations and associations alike hold Bethmann Bank in high esteem as a reliable advisor.
