The warmest recommendations come from others and we do our best get them!
In the FUCHS | RICHTER PRÜFINSTANZ 2022, we took third place in the annual ranking, were awarded first place in Germany for the best advisory interview (twelve private banks compared). The market tests conducted by the FUCHS | RICHTER Prüfinstanz assess the performance of advisors and banks from a customer's perspective. In the case of the wealth manager test, the testing body works according to a two-stage selection procedure: 1. qualification round: advisory discussion (40%) and investment proposal (10%) from the customer's point of view 2. winner selection: Beauty Contest (20%) and investment competence (10%). Finally, transparency (20%) remains. In TOPS 2022, the test of the Fuchsbriefe, Bethmann Bank receives the first place in the overall ranking for Germany and the third place with the rating "Very Good" in the overall ranking for the German-speaking region (in the test: over 60 banks and asset managers). We were able to convince in the areas of "Consultation", "Investment proposal" and "Transparency". We received a "very good" rating in all three areas. We still have some room for optimization in the areas of "Investment Competence" and "Beauty Contest". Since 2018, we have also been awarded the "green trust traffic light" and have been allowed to call ourselves "Trusted Wealth Manager" since 2018.

In the current foundation test of the FUCHS|RICHTER test authority, Bethmann Bank comes third in the overall ranking with the grade "Very Good". In the individual evaluations, we come out on top in the beauty contest, also a "Very Good" in transparency, a "Good" in the investment concept as well as in investment competence and in the range of services. As the result in no category is worse than "Good", Bethmann Bank can count itself among the TOP providers in the field of foundation management.
In the late summer of 2021, around 60 asset managers received mail from the FUCHS|RICHTER test authority, which was looking for a suitable partner for a real foundation with a concrete problem: An entrepreneurial couple, both in their late 60s, childless, from the Cologne area, would like to set up a foundation. The foundation is intended to provide young people with basic financial knowledge. The foundation's capital consists of 3.5 million euros in liquid assets and an investment property.
The selection is generally made according to five evaluation modules and is combined into an overall result:
The award was given to 51 asset managers in German-speaking countries from a total of 362 provider addresses on topics such as customer orientation or convincing performance. We received the highest "summa cum laude" award.

The German Institute for Service Quality (DSIQ) in cooperation with the Institute for Quantitative Financial Analysis awarded us the quality rating "very good" and second place in their study: Asset Managers 2021. Twenty asset managers were tested for their advisory services and investment proposals. We were able to convince in the area of "Advice and Service" with our video advice as well as the quality of our offered solution proposal. In both of these sub-areas, we were even able to take first place and thus receive the awards for "Best Consultation" and "Best Quality of Solution Proposal". In the areas of telephone support and Internet presence, however, there is still some room for optimization. This is a challenge that we are very happy to take on.

In 2024, Bethmann Bank took part in Capital's ranking of the best sustainable asset managers for the second time and, as in the previous year, took second place among the participating banks. As part of this ranking, the Institut für Vermögensaufbau conducted a survey for Capital to determine how sustainable the private wealth management services offered by banks and non-bank asset managers are. The participants were assessed in the areas of “portfolio”, “ESG in the investment process” (product transparency) and “ESG in the company” itself - i.e. consideration of the environment (environmental), social issues (social) and good corporate governance. Participants were able to collect a total of 100 points, with a five-star rating awarded for scores of at least 80 points. In addition to 54 banks, 58 independent asset managers also took part in the ranking. We scored 86.6 out of a possible 100 points in the categories “Portfolio evaluation”, “Product transparency” and “ESG in the company”.
